Drake Release new video for “I’m Upset”
The last thing we heard from Drake, was the song “Duppy Freestyle” in response to the dispute that the Canadian brings with Pusha-T since he “revealed” several details of Drake’s personal life in the song “The Story Of Adidon “, which came with everything and a picture of the Canadian with his face painted black. However, Drake’s response did not take long to arrive with “Don’t push me when I’m in album mode. You not even top 5 as far as your label talent goes. You send shots, well, I got to challenge those”. Next to this had come the announcement of a song in response to Pusha and his offensive song; however, it never came out and, apparently, with the release of a new video, Drake has set aside the lawsuit and focused on his work.
Drake has returned with the music video for his most newly released single “I’m Upset”. The video runs about six minutes long and was directed by Karena Evans, who previously directed the visuals for “God’s Plan” and “Nice for What.” The drop of the “I’m Upset” video follows Drake’s nasty beef with Pusha-T, who released the scathing diss track “The Story Of Adidon” back in late May in response to Drake’s “Duppy Freestyle” diss.
In the video, after waking up in the middle of the Air Canada centre – he hosts a high school reunion for his former Degrassi colleagues, and features the cast of the show. Jay and Silent Bob, who appeared for a few episodes in Season 4, in addition to A.J. Saudin (Connor), Shane Kippel (Spinner), Cassie Steele (Manny), Nina Dobrev (Mia), Miriam McDonald (Emma), Jake Goldsbie (Toby), Ephraim Ellis (Rick), Stefan Brogren (Snake), and others make appearances as special gusts in a few episodes of the show in the video.
As well as the release of the video, last night Drake announced that Scorpion will be with us before the month is out, sharing the artwork through his Instagram account, the rapper published the cover of his new album ‘Scorpion’ along with the date: JUNE 29th 2018. When you get embroidered jackets declaring that your album will be out in June, there’s really no going back. Besides the date, there’s not much in the way of details about the album.
Drake is doing whatever it takes to make sure his latest music video goes viral, enlisting some help from his former Degrassi: The Next Generation co-stars. The report Spotify 2017, said Drake was one of the singers with the highest streaming figures. In other words, every song that he pulls, climbs to the top of the charts in the United States and the world. In fact, at the end of January of this year, he broke his own records with the release of “God’s Plan”, a song that was part of the EP Scary Hours. Most likely, if the predictions are correct based on what has happened with Drake in the last year, the next release of the album, will become a total success.
Drake is also heading on tour with Migos. Head here for more info on the Aubrey and the Three Migos Tour and to peep the full list of dates and locations.
